Operational Core Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and monitor the training of flying and operational personnel.
  • Collaborate closely with national and European authorities.
  • Significant knowledge regarding regulations AIR Operations No. 965/2012,  Aircrew No.1178/2011 and experience in complying with IOSA Standards
  • Direct editorial responsibility for training guidelines and documentation (OM-D, Syllabi, etc.).
  • Work closely with LEAV's operational management.
  • Evaluate and mitigate operational risks in training operations (SMS).
  • Standardize and audit external training organizations and partners.
  • Develop training at LEAV based on EBT principles.
  • Support the Nominated Person Flight Operations in establishing operational standards and be responsible for the basic and additional training of training personnel.
Strategic and Management Responsibilities
  • Build competency and enable all relevant individuals for flight operations.
  • Develop and implement a high-quality training concept to ensure flight operations.
  • Select training personnel and flying personnel for LEAV.
  • Technical leadership of all training measures.
  • Coach and develop employees and trainers.
  • Strategically develop the training department in coordination with the Accountable Manager and Nominated Person Flight Operations.
Professional and Personal Requirements
  • Meet formal aviation regulatory requirements as a Nominated Person Crew Training (TRI, ATPL, 5 years of experience with an airline and 2 years in training).
  • Holding a valid A320 TRI Rating (unrestricted)
  • Minimum 5000 Flight Hours on Aircraft > 20t
  • At least 3000 Flight Hours command experience on Aircraft > 20t thereof minimum 1500 Flight Hours on A320F.
  • Reflective and open leadership personality.
  • Excellent knowledge of training standards and methods.
  • Very good knowledge of flight operations and aviation law.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive with a strategic perspective on continuous improvement requirements.
  • Reliability and commitment.
  • Team player fostering positive relationships.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience as a "Nominated Person" in training or flight operations is advantageous or a comparable position at an ATO.
