Freelance Translator (English ⇄ Ukrainian)

Job Overview

We are seeking qualified freelance translators (English ⇄ Ukrainian) for a long-term contract in Wiesbaden, Germany. The position involves on-site translation and interpretation work in a military environment.

Responsibilities
  • Translate military, administrative and technical documents (EN ⇄ UKR)
  • Provide short liaison interpretation between English and Ukrainian speakers
  • Proofread and verify translations within a small team
  • Maintain translation memory tools and terminology databases
Requirements
  • Fluent in English and Ukrainian (written and spoken)
  • Degree in Translation/Linguistics or relevant professional experience
  • At least 2 years of translation experience (preferably in secure or official settings)
  • Proficient in CAT tools (e.g. SDL Trados, MemoQ)
  • Willing and able to work on-site in Wiesbaden, up to 6 days/week (shift-based)
