The European League of Football is looking for a Legal Counsel (m/f/d) at our Munich or Hamburg location, starting as soon as possible, full-time.

What your job entails:
  • As the main point of contact, you are responsible for the comprehensive support and legal advice for the European League of Football, particularly for the management and executives.
  • You are in charge of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts, including distribution, marketing, licensing, and employment agreements.
  • You handle and lead or coordinate civil and (extra) judicial disputes on behalf of the ELF.
  • Additionally, you manage external law firms and service providers in legal matters, particularly in sports and contract law as well as insurance, IT, and trademark law.
  • You serve as the legal contact for issues related to data protection and information security for the league.

 

What we are looking for:
  • Successfully completed first and second state examinations in law (fully qualified lawyer).
  • Professional experience in a company, association, law firm, or consulting firm.
  • Knowledge and experience in general civil law as well as sports, marketing, and licensing law.
  • Ideally, knowledge in IT and IP/trademark law.
  • Conceptual thinking and the ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
  • Strong analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
  • Proficiency in negotiating in both German and English.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, along with an affinity for digital workflows.
